About the work
Heaven's Dark Side, the most recent video from the production group MAFISHCO, poses the question, “Does faith arise from knowledge or knowledge from faith?” Performance art and post modern dance weigh in on the essay form, the shadow play on the graphic novel, musique concrete on linguistics. Cheeky and irreverent, this experimental short pairs a new visual language to the inexorable trajectory of logical inquiry to arrive at the true nature of belief. Events are built up from a set of recurring simple forms—the spindle, disc, spiral, cone, grid, pole, and retractable strings.Digital video TRT 22:30
